Whisper Pumps supply a special artificial head valve, which considerably reduces electric consumption and extends the life of the water pump and its parts. The spring loaded valve regulates the flow of the water pump so that it operates at the point of maximum efficiency (see chart). This reduces electricity consumption by up to 50% and allows the motor to run much cooler.

The AV version of the Grundfos submersible water pump features a compact tubular float switch, allowing the KP submersible pump to be used where standard float design cannot work due to insufficient space. These product versions are designed to only be used with clean water and installed vertically.
