Hydropress pumps can draw water from a storage tank or well up to 8 metres deep when fitted with an optional foot valve.
How it Works
When a valve or tap is opened, water stored under pressure in the expansion vessel is forced out until the pressure in the system drops to an adjustable cut in pressure. The pressure switch then starts the pump to meet the demand for water. When the demand ceases, the pump continues to run, re-charging the expansion tank until the adjustable cut-out pressure is reached. The capacity of the expansion tank determines the amount of water that can be drawn before the pump has to start. Therefore the bigger the tank, the less times the pump will stop & start.
