Inoxpa DIN-FOOD Hygienic Centrifugal Pump

The DIN-FOOD hygienic pump manufactured by Inoxpa is a high capacity (Up to 1000 m³/h), centrifugal pump that is specially design for hygienic and sanitary applications that need to comply with the highest levels of cleanliness. EHEDG certified, this sanitary centrifugal pump is a reliable choice for applications in the brewing, dairy and beverage industries, as well as in ultra-filtering processes. This Inoxpa centrifugal pump can also be used in the textile industry and in certain applications within chemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries due to its unique hygienic design.

To ensure long life, any pump parts in contact with the pumped media are manufactured from corrosion resistant AISI 316 stainless steel. The DIN-FOOD hygienic centrifugal pump casing with volute is manufactured with a 8mm cold-formed plate and Inoxpa pumps are supplied with a double curvature impeller with blades on the rear side to reduce the axial thrust. The beauty of this stainless steel sanitary pump is that it is also fully drainable which helps with any maintenance required. In addition the Inoxpa DIN-FOOD hygienic pumps have an open impeller which is suitable for solids handling with minimal risk of clogging and pump damage.

Operating Principle

Housed inside the casing, the hygienic pump impeller rotates in conjunction with the pump shaft. With this arrangement, the impeller blades convey energy to the fluid in the form of kinetic energy and pressure energy. This sanitary centrifugal pump is not reversible by a simple reversal of the direction of rotation. The direction of rotation is clockwise when the pump is viewed from the rear side of the motor.
