Rotorflush Submersible Filter Pumps

Traditional pumps are fitted with a coarse inlet screen which will only keep out larger particles. If there is a high volume of suspended solids in the water, the pump will block and eventually become starved of water; this can cause expensive pump damage.

The self cleaning filter on the Rotorflush filter pump is designed to stop this type of intake blockage happening as the filter is completely cleaned every ½ second. This keeps the solids away from the intake filter and therefore allows the pump to operate at an optimum rate.

Rotorflush filter pumps are suitable for pumping water from dirty lagoons, lakes and rivers and filtering wash water for water treatment works.

How Does This Work?
The self cleaning part of the filter consists of a pump impeller fitted inside a rotating housing that has two angled jets. The main flow of water is through the filter screen and up into the main pump. Some of the filtered water is sucked into the central impeller and ejected out through the rotating jets. These angled jets rotate at 60 rpm and direct water back through the filter, removing any detritus that is beginning to block the screen.
